Multi – Effect

By multi-effect units, it is possible to arrange several stages with similar heating surfaces. Therefore low specific heating steam consumption is achieved and the systems are energetically improved. Furthermore each evaporator stage can be optimized regarding separation tasks.


Outstanding arguments for multi effect:

  • Steam has to be used (heat interface))
  • Differences in head to bottom temperature is too big for MVR and TVR
  • Steam pressure is available
  • The system is not applicable for high vacuum
